Scenario of Marketing from Traditions to Digital Marketing

From Traditional to Digital
Today’s customers are information overloaded and fiercely Independent. So in the world full of competitiveness the corporate industry needed to change. They knew that there is much more than selling a product, they needed a goodwill and trust of the customers they knew that there is much more that advertising in the newspapers or pamphlets. From the increasing number of smart phone users it is becoming difficult day by day to survive in the market with lots and lots of competitiveness.

Marketing… from where does it started
The philosophy that firms should analyze the needs of the customers and then make decision to satisfy those needs, better that the competition. A concept of philosophy, attitude, or a course of thinking is come to term as Marketing. In the beginning Barter System existed where goods were exchanged with goods then currency was formed now goods are exchanged with money. Earlier marketing was a simpler phenomenon there was much less competition, people were simple Market was not complex. The concept of marketing that we now see has more to do with developments during the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries. This was a period of rapid social change driven by technological and scientific innovation. One result was that for the first time the production of goods was separated from their consumption. Mass production, developing transport infrastructure and growing mass media meant that producers needed to, and could develop more sophisticated ways of managing the distribution of goods.

In the beginning marketing started as an inward phenomena focusing on only what the production is producing. Now marketing is an outward phenomenon it looks upon the understanding the market and fulfilling the consumers needs. The activities you might be involved with, at the end of the day it is different from the marketing we see today. As professional marketers you should be prone and should be particularly sensitive to the changes in technology and the to the world.
The Future
The future of marketing trends is Digital Marketing. The smartest move that any business man or an entrepreneur may make in meeting a consumer demands is by going digital. We know majority of the people is trend followers so why not be a trend setters. In a world where more than 170 million people use social media on a regular basis, every working professional is expected to be familiar with Digital marketing.

Big Skill Gap
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Launched MAKE IN INDIA program against the backdrop of the crises. Make in india is much more than an inspiring slogan, it represents a comprehensive process of policies. Most importantly it represents a complete change of the Government’s mindset i.e. a shift from issuing authority to creating our own business, with MINIMUM GOVERNMENT AND MAXIMUM GOVERNANCE.

This graph clearly shows that how India is lagging behind in terms of skills, we have knowledge and but we lack resources, we still not believe in our skills as much as we need to, filing the gaps is what we need to do right now. We need a completely drastic change in our education system .This gap shows the clear evidence that it is high time that we should GO DIGITAL. India is the second largest market for social networking such as LinkedIn and Facebook, with around more than 58,000 new users get connected every day. Ecommerce is shifting users from shopping in stores to window shopping. It is estimated that if the number of Internet users continues to increase than the number of user base to cross 500 million by 2018.

One will not deny to the fact that the world is shifting digitally on a fast pace. People are consuming more and more Internet that is becoming more aware to the latest technologies whether using a laptop to the completely different Android or IOS. Go Digital because it is the only rapidly growing force in the current marketing field (latest trend for future Marketing) and it seems likely that digital media will soon replace more traditional forms altogether.
